Smart pen for stock management
T-PEn is an object based on “Talking Pen” technology and utilizes the OID sensor to decode specific images and perform operations. In this case, it is an object designed to manage inventory in warehouses through smart tags, providing a simplified interface to facilitate the technological transition for small businesses. The aim is to digitize the workplace by avoiding the use of overly advanced technologies and by enhancing accessibility even for individuals with limited technological expertise.
Smart tag
Smart tags are easily made by printing labels. Each tag is unique, and for each one a function is assigned. Among the main functions is subtraction and addition of a particular product. The user only needs to touch the tag and the giagency will be updated via wifi without any other interface.
The purpose of this pen is to simplify warehouse management in an analogical manner but with smart functions. Unlike devices with graphical interfaces, here the workplace itself serves as the interface. Indeed, thanks to adhesive hashtags, it's possible to transform an "analog" workspace into a digitized environment without the need for monitors and applications. This way, the user experience remains physical and easily manageable. Functions can be implemented by printing labels for each task, such as marking the start and end times of work or tracking shipment packages for quality control purposes.
